Applications to participate in the University of Sydney’s first ever university-wide multilingual speech competition are officially open!
Challenge yourself in the inaugural student-run Foreign Languages Speech Contest!*
This is your chance to shine under the spotlight as you demonstrate your linguistic prowess through a category of your choice before our lovely language teachers, USU language/culture club executives, and fellow students.
Languages**:
- Arabic
- French
- German
- Indonesian
- Italian
- Japanese
- Mandarin
- Spanish
Categories**:
- Beginners (1 year of full-time language study)
- Open (more than 1 year of full-time language study)
- Native
Theme choices:
- My Daily Life
- My Ex”change”
- Power of Language
- Current Affairs
- Your Own Topic (subject to approval)
Length of speech: 2 minutes

Applications are now open to all current USYD students.
Winners of the Foreign Languages Speech Contest will receive a certificate and book vouchers. Further details will be disclosed closer to the event date.
