As a special event organised by the Sydney University Research Community for Latin America (SURCLA) and the School of Languages and Cultures, Dr Fernanda Peñaloza from the University of Sydney and Dr Sarah Walsh from Washington State University will be launching their book Mapping South-South Connections: Australia and Latin America (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019).
Mapping South-South Connections was edited by Fernanda Peñaloza and Sarah Walsh and it explores contemporary cultural, historical and geopolitical connections between Latin America and Australia from an interdisciplinary perspective. This book includes the valuable contributions of Fernanda Peñaloza and Sarah Walsh as well as other academics in the field.
