Abstract

In this lecture, Professor Uzi Rebhun, from the A Harman Research Institute of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, will review the major population developments of the country including its changing size and composition (Jews vs. non-Jews), ethnic stratification, and the religious-secular rift. Prof Rebhun will discuss the effect of recent domestic reforms on Israel-Diaspora relations.

This is a free event and organised in partnership with Mandelbaum House and the Sydney Jewish Museum.

About the speaker

Uzi Rebhun is a Professor of Jewish Demography and Sociology, Shlomo Argov Chair in Israel-Diaspora Relations & Head, Division of Jewish Demography, The A. Harman Research Institute of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
