Abstract

In this seminar, Lindeman will delve into the myriad of tales that have been spun from the threads of Bernhardt’s extraordinary life. She will provide an intimate glimpse into the creative process behind her play, shedding light on the challenges and inspirations that drove her to bring Bernhardt’s story to life.

The play SARAH Quand Même is running at MERAKI ARTS Mainstage, 231 Oxford St, Darlinghurst from August 29 to Sept 2 (Tuesday-Saturday 7.30pm Sat 2pm)

About the presenter

Susie Lindeman is the author and main actor of SARAH Quand Même, a captivating play that artfully brings to life the essence of the legendary Sarah Bernhardt, commemorating the centième anniversaire of the death of the world’s most celebrated actress. The world’s first superstar, Bernhardt mesmerized audiences across the globe, even embarking on a tour to Australia for JC Williamson in 1891. Her magnetic presence and unmatched talent left an indelible mark on every stage she graced.
