Join us for Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) on 1 November for festivities and activities on campus!
Altar workshop
Time: 11.30am–1pm
Venue: SLC Common Room 536, Brennan MacCallum Building (A18)
We will make papel picado and bring together other colourful ornaments with incense, candles, fruit, sweets, beloved items, flowers, photos of dear loved ones no longer with us in order to decorate our altar. We will set up the altar in a visible location on campus, near the School of Languages and Cultures, so all can see how vibrant Mexican and pan-Latino cultures and artistic expressions are. The workshop will be a hands-on, fun activity to take part in and learn from.
Tools and material for creation and construction will be supplied. Just come along to experience, create and learn!
