Join in the launch of the English edition of the highly successful book Νύφες με Προξενιό by Dr Panayota Nazou (Honorary Senior Lecturer, Department of Modern Greek and Byzantine Studies). It presents the most systematic and coherent research so far into the phenomenon of ‘promised brides’ as practiced during the period of mass Greek migration to Australia between the years 1950 and 1975.

With presentations by Jenny Brockie (Insight, SBS) and Dr Helen Vatsikopoulos (University of Technology Sydney).
